In the mid-1970’s Charlie ran the mile in 3:56 and the marathon in 2:15. He was a national class master runner and world-class person. in 1998 he led GVH to its first of over 50 national masters team championships.

Heats will be run starting at 6:15 PM in the following order:
- – Kids “Sub-4” race (youngest ages) – running all 4 laps is optional
- – Youth 14 and under
- – High School – Girls 15-18
- – High School – Boys 15-18
- – Mixed Mile 10+ Minutes
- – Men & Women 8-10 minutes
- – Men Sub 8 but not sub 5
- – Women sub 8 but not sub 6:15
- – Masters Elite Women – Sub 7:45 minutes
- – Masters Elite Men – Sub 6:15 minutes
- – Open Elite Women – Sub 6:15 minutes (NON HIGH SCHOOL)
- – Open Elite Men – Sub 5 minutes (NON HIGH SCHOOL)
