GVH Women’s Open Team Rolls to Several Victories

The GVH Women’s Open Team have scored several notable victories over the past few months including:

  • Kathyrn Potter won the Peter Glavin Cross Country Series. Kathyrn swept the series winning each of the five individual PGXC races. Donna Langerfeld came in fourth.
  • The Women’s Open Team won the Niagara Cross Country Championship on October 23, 2016 at Genesee Valley Park in Rochester, NY. In this dramatic race GVH and Red Newt Racing finished in a tie with 37 points each.  Donna Langerfeld, GVH’s fifth runner, finished 13th–16 seconds and four places ahead of Red Newt’s fifth runner and broke the tie.  GVH’s five scorers were Kathryn Potter (1st), Ashley Nevol (4th), Danielle Groff (7th), Leila Mantilla (12th), and Donna Langerfeld (13th).  Kathryn Potter won the individual title with a time of 21:33.9 on the 6K course.
  • GVH Women’s Open Team swept the top four overall spots for the East Avenue 5K Grocery Run (Kathryn Potter, Ashley Nevol, Danielle Groff, and Heather Webster).
  • The same four superwomen also took the four top spots for women in the Race with Grace 10K.
